Defendant was charged with having committed one count of 288A (B) (2) Penal Code Felony in the county of Los Angeles.  Penal code 288A (B) (2) states: Except as provided in Section 288, any person over the age of 21 years who participates in an act of oral copulation with another person who is under 16 years of age is guilty of a felony. Our client was facing 8 years in state prison, registering as a sex offender, and having their picture on the Megan’s Law website registry of sex offenders. We were able to keep our client from having to do any jail time. The defendant also avoided registering as a sex offender. The defendant instead received 60 days of Cal Trans and was placed on formal probation.
